Counselling sessions with Patricia Fagan

Counselling

What are you noticing? a sense of loss, grief, fear, low self-esterm, or perhaps a feeling of anxiousness.

Counselling can offer a way to work through strong emotional problems. These feelings may be related past issues which are being experienced in the here and now, or perhaps you are experiencing a present situation which is proving hard to cope with or reaching a resolution.

Exploring the problem creating difficulty in one’s life can open the potential to discover fresh awareness about the self and the situation.

For you the client, I offer a safe confidential space for you to explore your concern. In your process of exploration, I will work with you on your journey of self-understanding and communicate acceptance with a client lead focus. I will help you as you unravel the problem to find meaning and clear understanding through your own authentic answers.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a professional organisation for a good standard of practice.

This means I work with a code of ethics to ensure the safety of the clients I work with. In addition, I adhere to confidentiality and disclosure, engage in supervision, and continued personal development.

How I work with clients is based on an integrative approach with a non-directive stance. Integrating a person-centred focus with influences of Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, seeing the importance of the client and the therapeutic relationship. Phenomenological working with the client in creative ways to holistically see the whole person.

I work with individual clients aged 18 years and above offering counselling via face-to-face, telephone and video call. However, due to coronavirus (covid19), government guidelines and social distancing face to face counselling is unavailable till further notice.

Duration of therapy I offer:
Short Term Counselling
Long Term Counselling

Counselling session are 60 minutes long, generally held on the same day and time of each week. If you would like to book a free 15-minute phone consultation or like more information, please feel free to contact me.
